External Antiparasitic Frontline Tri-Act Spot on for Dogs to 40-60 Kg Pipettes

Frontline® Tri-Act is a pharmaceutical product.
Pipettes with a solution for dorsal anointing for the treatment and prevention of infestations by fleas and/or ticks when a repellent activity (anti-feeding) is necessary, against sandflies, biting flies and/or mosquitoes. The active substance fipronil is an insecticide and acaricide. Permethrin belongs to the class of Type I pyrethroids, which are acaricides and insecticides with repellent activity. In the veterinary medicinal product permethrin provides repellent activity (anti-feeding activity) against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus, > 90% for 3 weeks and > 80% for an additional week), mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes albopictus) and ticks (Ixodes ricinus , Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus).

Frontline® Tri-Act spot-on solution for dogs 40 - 60 kg at a glance:

Target species: dogs
1 pipette of 6 ml for dogs weighing between 40 and 60 kg, for the treatment of infestations by fleas and/or ticks, sandflies, biting flies and/or mosquitoes.
Treatment and prevention of infestations by Ctenocephalides felis fleas and prevention of infestations by Ctenocephalides canis fleas. One treatment prevents further flea infestation for 4 weeks.
Treatment against ticks (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The acaricidal effect acts against ticks from 7 days to 4 weeks after treatment.
Repels (anti-feeding activity) and kills the stable fly (Stomoxys calcitrans) for 5 weeks
Repels (anti-feeding activity) sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) for 3 weeks and mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes albopictus) for 4 weeks. Kills sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and mosquitoes (Aedes albopictus) for 3 weeks.
Reduced risk of Leishmania infantum infection through transmission by sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) for up to 4 weeks
The veterinary medicine can be used as part of the treatment strategy for allergic dermatitis caused by flea bites, when it has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.

Contraindications:
Do not use in puppies less than 8 weeks old or weighing less than 2 kg.
Do not use in sick or convalescent animals.
Do not use in cats or rabbits, as adverse reactions may occur, even resulting in death.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients (see also the section "Special precautions for use" - "Special precautions for use in animals").
 
Adverse reactions (frequency and seriousness):
Transient skin reactions at the application site (skin discoloration, local hair loss, itching, redness) as well as general itching, hair loss and erythema have been observed rarely after application of the veterinary medicinal product. Reversible nervous signs (increased sensitivity to stimulation, hyperactivity, muscle tremor, depression, ataxia, other nervous signs), vomiting, anorexia and hypersalivation have also been reported rarely after the use of the veterinary medicinal product. In case of licking of the area of application, transient hypersalivation and emesis may be observed.
