External Antiparasitic Eliminall for dogs and cats

Indications for use, specifying the target species
Treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides spp.) And tick (Dermacentor reticulatus).
For the treatment of biting lice infestations in dogs Trichodectes canis. Most lice die within 2 days. Insecticidal efficacy against new infestations with adult fleas persists for 8 weeks.
The product has persistent acaricidal efficacy for 3 weeks against Ixodes ricinus and for 4 weeks against Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Dermacentor reticulatus. If you noticed some species of ticks (Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus), before applying the product, it is possible that not all ticks are removed within 48 hours.
The product can be used as part of the treatment strategy for the control of Allergy Dermatitis Flea Bite (FAD), after previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.

Contraindications
In the absence of available data, the product should not be used on puppies less than 2 months old and / or weighing less than 2 kg.
Do not use on sick (eg systemic diseases, fever ...) or convalescent.
Do not use in rabbits, as adverse reactions may occur and even death.
This product is specially developed for dogs. Do not use in cats as this could lead to overdosing.
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance, dimethyl sulfoxide or any of the other excipients.

Special warnings for each target species
Avoid immersion in water baths or during the two days following the application of the product. After immersion in water for one week minute, the persistence period insecticide against fleas was 7 weeks.
The product does not prevent ticks from the animal set. If it has been treated prior to exposure, ticks will die within the first 24-48 hours after set.
Typically, this will occur before engorgement, which minimizes, but does not exclude the risk of disease transmission. Once killed, usually ticks drop from the animal, but if there is any can easily be removed by pulling them slightly.
Fleas tend to infest animals basket, bedding and regular resting areas for animals, for example, carpets and upholstered furniture, which should be treated, in case of massive infestation and to initiate measures controlling, with a suitable insecticide and must regularly aspirated.
When used as part of a treatment strategy for Flea Allergy Dermatitis, recommended monthly applications to the allergic patient and to other dogs in the house.
For optimal control of flea problems in a house with more than one animal, it must be for all dogs and cats in the household with a suitable insecticide.

If the animal licks, you can see a brief period of hypersalivation.
Among the extremely rare suspected adverse reactions have been reported after the use of the product described transient skin reactions in the application area (scaling, local alopecia, pruritus, erythema) and general pruritus or alopecia. In exceptional cases, after administration, there has been hypersalivation, reversible neurological signs (hyperaesthesia, depression, nervous signs) or vomiting or respiratory symptoms.

Route of administration and dosage:
For external use only.
Administered by topical application to the skin by the weight of the animal as follows:
1 pipette of 0.67 ml per dog weighing over 2 kg and up to 10 kg of body weight.

1 pipette of 2.68 ml per dog weighing over 20 kg and up to 40 kg of body weight.
1 pipette of 4.02 ml per dog weighing over 40 kg and up to 60 kg bodyweight 1 pipette of 4.02 ml and 1 pipette less suitable for dogs weighing more than 60 kg of body weight.

Push and turn the cap to break the seal, then remove cap from pipette. Part the coat between the shoulder blades of the animal leaving the skin exposed. No adverse reactions were observed in safety studies conducted in puppies over 2 months of age and weighing about 2 kg treated once a month with five times the recommended dose. However, the risk of experiencing adverse effects may increase with overdose (see section 4.6), so animals should always be treated with the correct pipette size for your body weight.

Pharmacodynamics
Fipronil is an insecticide and acaricide belonging to the family of the phenylpyrazole. Inhibits the GABA complex, binds to chloride channels and, thus, block the presynaptic and postsynaptic transfer of chloride ions across cell membranes. This results in uncontrolled activity in the central nervous system and death of insects or mites.
Fipronil shows insecticidal and acaricidal activity against fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.), Ticks (Rhipicephalus spp. Dermacentor spp. Ixodes spp. Including Ixodes ricinus) and lice (Trichodectes canis) in dogs.
Ticks usually removed within 48 hours after contact with fipronil, however if you have set some species of ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus), before applying the product, they may not all ticks are removed within 48 hours. Kills fleas within 24 hours.

Pharmacokinetics
Fipronil is mainly metabolised in its sulfone derivative (RM1602), which also possesses insecticidal and acaricidal properties. Fipronil concentrations in hair decrease with time.
