Atopivet Oral Suspension Bioiberica
Atopivet is a complementary food for dogs and cats that helps to maintain the epidermal barrier, especially during or after debilitating diseases of the skin integrity such as dermatitis.
Nucleoforce® is a profile of different groups of nucleotides formulated specifically for dogs. Nucleotides are semi-essential nutrients, characterized by being the structural unit of nucleic acids in cells. Ingredients in diets are generally nucleotide-poor. On the other hand, endogenous synthesis is possible, although energetically it is very expensive, so in situations of high demand for cell repair and multiplication, an exogenous contribution of nucleotides is necessary. For years, various applications of nucleotides have been investigated orally, given their ability to modulate the immune response. One of them is in dermatology, since it has been seen that a combination of nucleotides can promote a correct function of the skin barrier.
Hyaluronic Acid Dermial® significantly increases the proliferation and migration of dermal fibroblasts. Fibroblasts are involved in the regenerative capacity of the skin. Dermial® induces an increase in the hydration capacity of the skin due to the increase in the production of Hyaluronic Acid and its ability to increase the production of elastin. Atopic dermatitis can affect the total amount of lipids in the outer layer of the skin or alter their relative concentration with an increase in dehydration of the skin and an increase in the entry of skin allergens.
Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) modulates skin inflammation. In normal skin, ceramides are secreted by the keratinocytes of the epidermis into the intercellular space to ensure cell cohesion and the effectiveness of the skin barrier.
Plasma concentrations of vitamin E in dogs with atopic dermatitis are significantly lower than those found in healthy dogs. Oral vitamin E supplementation can make up for deficiencies in this vitamin.
