Covetrus Vet Pet Care Antiseptic Shampoo

Covetrus Vet-Pet Care ANTISEPTIC shampoo is a preparation with cleaning, antiseptic and deodorizing properties, suitable for dogs and cats.
Does not contain soap.

Composition: Climbazol (0.5%), MicroSilver * silver particles (0.1%) and Type III Ceramides (0.05%)

Products containing MikroSilver BG ™ particles and Type III Ceramides have enhanced antibiotic and antiseptic properties while protecting the skin's lipid barrier.

Products containing type III ceramides are designed to replenish skin structures with missing ingredients and also help restore the skin's natural barrier function by reducing TEWL (transcutaneous water loss).

How to use: Moisten the animal's hair well with warm water, then apply a small amount of shampoo to obtain a large amount of lather. Massage the animal's body to fully distribute the shampoo on the skin. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse with clean water. Use it once a week or as directed by your vet.

They have an average size of 10 micrometers (1 micrometer equals 10,000 nanometers). Silver particles adhere to the skin and hair follicles, forming a permanent "deposit" of pure silver, resulting in a broad spectrum of antiseptic and antibiotic properties. MicroSilver BG ™ in contact with the skin, produce positive ions (Ag +) that are capable of physically interacting with the cellular structures of pathogenic bacteria. Positively charged ions adhere to negatively charged components of pathogens, including bacterial membrane proteins, intracellular enzymes, ribosomes, and nucleic acids. This bonding reaction causes:
1. Damage to cell membranes leading to structural changes, including increased permeability, eventually leading to bacterial cell death.

4. Changes in protein synthesis further reduce the survival rate of bacteria and contribute to destabilization of the outer membrane composition. Membrane damage also induces the release of reactive oxygen species (ROS), creating free radicals with a strong antiseptic effect.
Bacterial resistance to MicroSilver BG ™ silver particles is extremely rare.
