Psittacus Nectar Lory
Indicated
This product is a complementary feed suitable for adult parrots of the subfamily Loriinae (loris and loriquitos). Contains highly digestible ingredients with a large proportion of dehydrated fruits and sugars. This makes it especially suitable for the diet of the loris, combining the highest quality and the appetite. We recommend to supply Lory Nectar simultaneously with Lory Gel. Together, both products allow to adequately cover the particular nutritional needs of the different species of loris at each moment, regulating by themselves the ingestion of more or less quantity of each product.
Recommendations
It is advisable to supply Lory Nectar and Lory Gel simultaneously in separate feeders. They will preferably be supplied dry, although it may also be offered in admixture with water in the form of a creamy slurry. It is important to clean the feeders daily. In warm environments, if the product is supplied diluted, it is advisable to renew the product more than once a day. We recommend putting fresh fruit daily at the disposal of the birds. It is not advisable to add any type of vitamin-mineral supplement to those parrots that basically feed with Lory Gel and Lory Nectar.
Daily consumption
Daily consumption ranges from 7 to 10 g of gel and dry nectar, per 100 g of body weight.
