Nekton Iguana
VITAMIN AND DEVELOPMENT COMPOUND FOR GREEN IGUANAS AND HERBIVORES AND FRUGIVORE REPTILES
NEKTON-Iguana contains carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and proteins, as well as 18 essential amino acids. NEKTON-Iguana is particularly characterized by all elements that are contained in their fully unlocked form and thus available to the body immediately after it has been administered. NEKTON-Iguana ensures healthy development of the skeletal system, supports the regulated processes of molting processes, protects against nervous system disorders and preserves the functionality of the mucous membranes.
NEKTON-Iguana strengthens the body, particularly in stressful situations, e.g. during molting, when settling in with new arrivals or when being moved or transported. By administering NEKTON-Iguana, the nutritional value of normal food improves considerably; NEKTON-Iguana effectively prevents deficiency symptoms and causes a significant increase in activity. No other vitamin compound should be administered whilst using NEKTON-Iguana.

The protein contained in NEKTON-Iguana is already broken down into its components, the amino acids, and is thus immediately available for building up natural protein. It contains almost all essential amino acids, thus with this product, the animals' protein needs are sensibly complemented. In addition to these nutrients, vitamins, minerals and trace element are indispensable for maintaining health. Vitamins cannot be produced in the organism itself or only in insufficient amounts and must therefore be added to food from the outside. A shortage of vitamins can lead to serious, irreversible illnesses in animals. Avitaminosis (lack of vitamins) in iguanas leads to a sallow, gray-green skin color and cause the points of the crest to die off and joint swelling. Lack of vitamins from the B complex causes paralysis and convulsions. Other symptoms due to lacking nutritional conditions are, e.g. molting disorders. The vitamin content in NEKTON-Iguana is adjusted to daily food, to cover the animal's entire vitamin requirements. Calcium and phosphates are also extremely important for bone development. NEKTON-Iguana notably includes a high calcium supply; extra vitamin D3 has also been added. Even with a very good supply of minerals, calcium and phosphorous can be stored significantly better in the animal's bones by transferring vitamin D3.

Recommendation: Disinfect drinking vessels and food containers daily with NEKTON-Desi-Plus to guarantee hygienic and clean feed!
Young animals up to 30 cm overall length: approx. 0.25 g (¼ measuring spoon) of NEKTON-Iguana per animal per day.
Adolescents up to 60 cm overall length: 0.5 g (½ measuring spoon) of NEKTON-Iguana per animal per day Fully grown animals up to 60 cm long : 1g (1 measuring spoon) of NEKTON-Iguana per animal, 2-3 times per week
Fully grown animals that are ill, weak or stressed should receive a daily dose of 1 g of NEKTON-Iguana during stressful situations.
Storage: NEKTON-Iguana should be stored dry and out of sunlight, between 15° and 25°C.

The company Guenter Enderle/NEKTON-Produkte, Germany is a family business that has been in existence since 1967.
It began as a pet store especially for avian breeders and expanded to an import / export business with authorized quarantine station supplying zoos and pet stores Europe wide with birds in the main and a smaller selection of reptiles, amphibians and mammals in 1969.
As pet food supplements and species-oriented avian diets were practically unknown at that time, Guenter Enderle, the Company owner and proprietor and breeder of birds and dogs, began experimenting with his own formulas of vitamins, proteins, minerals and carotenoids, drawing on personal experience and that of other breeders and experts. NEKTON-S and NEKTON-R for birds were the first products on the market under the registered trademark NEKTON, followed by special purpose supplements for birds, reptiles, dogs and cats.
The NEKTON range now covers 23 pet food supplements, two species-oriented avian diets as well as much welcomed insect breeding concentrates, feeders for nectar-feeding birds and an effective disinfectant for pet utensils. All these products have been developed, tested and used on the Company’s own animals and imports. Guenter Enderle/NEKTON-Produkte has been a registered and state- controlled manufacturer since 1978.
For a number of years now the mixing of the top-grade ingredients into effective and economical formulas in stable powder form has been controlled by especially developed computer programmes and supervised by a nutritional scientist as quality Controller.
The Company withdrew from the animal import and export trade in the 1990s and now all work and business is concentrated on the manufacture, sale and marketing of the NEKTON range.
The reputation of the name NEKTON was well established in Europe by the 1980s and spread from there to the U.S.A. where an agent was found in 1982. Today the Company has its own sales office in the U.S.A. and exports its products to over 25 countries world wide. NEKTON has its own website under www.nekton.de and advertises its products either direct or through agents in many languages in a variety of international pet magazines. NEKTON products are not only used and appreciated by the private pet owner but also by a large and growing number of well-known and reputed breeders, experts, institutes, bird parks and zoos the world over. Since the beginning of 2010, the company Guenter Enderle/NEKTON-Produkte is being successfully carried on under the name NEKTON-GmbH with Thomas Enderle as head of the company.
