Prolivet® is a complementary food for dogs and cats that helps to maintain liver function.
Description
Silybin is the most abundant and active component of silymarin, an extract from the fruit of the milk thistle (Silybum marianum). Silybin neutralizes free radicals, thus protecting liver cells against oxidative damage. It also inhibits the adhesion of toxins, as well as the production of leukotrienes, which are involved in the inflammatory response. For its part, phosphatidylcholine is the main precursor / metabolite of choline, and the main constituent of lipoproteins in the bloodstream and cell membranes. It is also the main component of bile, and plays a fundamental role in mitochondrial energy transformation and in the elimination of waste products from cellular metabolism.
Composition per tablet
Each Prolivet® Cats and Small Dogs tablet contains:
Oxomet®: Product derived from the fermentation of S.cerevisiae: 420.42 mg
Antioxidant: Vitamin E (alpha tocopherol 50%, 1b307) 52.5 mg
Flavoring: Siliphos® (Silybum Marianum, phosphatidylcholine (lecithin)) 84.5 mg
Each tablet of Prolivet® Medium and Large Dogs contains:
Oxomet®: Product derived from the fermentation of S.cerevisiae: 842.31 mg
Antioxidant Vitamin E (alpha tocopherol 50%, 1b307) 105.31 mg
Flavor: Siliphos® (Silybum Marianum, phosphatidylcholine (lecithin)) 168 mg
Dosage and method of administration
It is recommended to administer the tablets on an empty stomach, at least one hour before a meal, to ensure optimal absorption. The animal must have permanent access to water. Administer Prolivet® orally for a minimum of 30 days.
The administration period can be extended at the discretion of the veterinarian.
Daily weight tablets:
1 tablet Prolivet® Cats and Small Dogs Every 5 kg
1 tablet Prolivet® Medium and Large Dogs Every 10 kg
The administration period can be extended at the discretion of the veterinarian.
